The question basically comes down to "Do you believe in the death penalty?" Those would kill Saddam would say the following: For all of the "good" Saddam may have done, he has the blood of thousands on his hands. You could make a convincing argument that his crime is much worse than a thief, bandit, etc. If anyone deserves the death penalty, it's Saddam, Hitler, etc.. Those against killing Saddam would say the following: If you kill Saddam, you are morally lowering yourself to his standards. You are justifying killing by killing. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer. It merely depends on your own personal philosophies. However, something had to be done with him, and I for one am not going to lose a lot of sleep over his execution. Where we go from here is much more important.

He deserves a good kicking, but to hang him is another thing. When we invaded Iraq we opened a can of worms, that nobody in the intelligence services were able to foretell. Hanging Sadarse will be like flipping the switch on a jack in the box. Let's just put him back in that hole they found him in and forget about it

According to the Iraqi court that tried & convicted him - yes. Nobody else's opinion matters, including mine (though for what it's worth I fully agree with the court's decision).

Maybe he deserves it but they shouldn't do it,That would just make a martry out of him. George Bush is equally as guilty as Saddam and maybe Tony Blair as well. If we hang one why not all of them, less people would have died if Iraq was never invaded in the first place.

no matter how evil (and there are unimaginably evil people on this planet) I still believe we do not have the right to take another's life. That makes us as bad as the person we are seeking to punish.
