I love the book Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. It's a hilarious memoir about the author's life with the first part being about his childhood and the second part about living in Paris, France. It really is a great book, you won't want to put it down!
Also there's a trilogy by Megan McCafferty. The first one in it is called Sloppy Firsts, and I would start with that one. It's also very funny and very random. Hope this helped you out!

Go to Barnes & Noble, they always have a selection of teen books for Summer reading and stuff on display, all the classics and lots more. Try any of the classics though, Catcher In The Rye, Fahrenheit 451, Count of Monte Cristo, Emma...lots of good stuff out there.

If you're into "girly" teen reads, try Meg Cabot, she writes funny, lighthearted books with plucky heroines.

If you want to "improve yourself" or something and want to read classics, I'd start with Jane Austen (author of Pride and Prejudice, Emma, etc) a great romance author

If you like fantasy, there's always Terry Brooks and Tolkein for heavier reads, and JK Rowling, Tamora Pierce, Diana Wynne Jones, and Diane Duane for lighter reads

Others, Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember), or hilarious Sci-Fi author Douglass Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

hope you can find something to read!
