She could definitely be fired... lying shows someone of poor character and/or poor judgement. Encourage her to finish her education.

I agree with the first and third posters. It is possible she might be terminated, however, they probably already went through the background checks or did not bother. I doubt they will go back again and check. However, to be safe, I would suggest you gf go back and get at least a GED if not a diploma. This might help her case if she is a good worker and they find out. The cost of finding a new worker is not small. Plus, it is always a good idea to get a diploma or GED if she decides to work in another job later. An incomplete education will not look favorably if she applies to another job.

Yes, she could and probably would get fired. Lying on a job application is almost always grounds for immediate termination. She should finish her high school education - generally adults can take a test and get certified - and then apply for a new job somewhere else without lying on the application.

Yes she could get fired and probably would. It's also possible she could be prosecuted. It would not matter how good of a job she did if they find out she lied to get the job. Even if she finished her education now it could still be a problem.

She could get terminated ,but if she has been there for a year the chances of them finding out is pretty low. By now they are probably more concerned with her work than her background.

I'm not sure what they could do, but termination would probably be the first thing they think of. I think that she should try to finish school and have her degree & if it ever comes up, they don't need to know when she finished.

hi, i understand for a certainty that folk can lie on their police purposes and ruin out with it, in Northern eire besides! while the peace technique replaced into presented the powers that be desperate that greater catholics ought to connect the police to make it greater equivalent (and rightly so) i understand of a woman who asked a community priest to jot down a letter asserting she had replaced her faith from staunchly loyalist to catholic even tho she hadn't. The priest had no reaon to disbelieve her and now the PSNI has a real psycho with a license to hold a gun! basically in N.I. i'm hoping.........

if she's caught she will get canned. no doubt about it. it doesn't matter that she's been doing well on the job. hr and the legal dept don't like fibbers on apps. that's why there's usu some sort of disclaimer on the app indicating that if u lie, u forfeit ur job.

if they find out she could be fired, but at this point if they have not checked I doubt they will find out, just keep quite and do your job well no one will give it a second thought
