For a typical smoker this will cost them about $100 a month. Do you see a problem with someone taxing your habbits so extremely. Not to mention they already pay $1.75 tax per pack tax. Why dont we just put a $1.50 tax on Soda, bottled water, chips, big macks, gum, candy, alchohol, or coffee. Maybe vegetables. See how you like a huge tax aimed directy at you and your habbit. Im voting yes on 67 just in case 66 passes so every one will get to pay extra for something that is neccesary to they daily routine.

yes its unfair..... its also unfair that i have to breathe your air.. seocondhand that is................ why will we tax stuff you wont buy... you dont eat vegetables..............

yes, but since I don't smoke it doesn't really bother me.

But if I WAS a smoker, I'd be the first one at the polling booth to vote NO. ;). I hope your fellow smokers are voting for their right to smoke without another tax.

Edit: Well the proposition lost, so enough people in California share your opinion.

yes its fair. unlike eating junk food and sweets, my eating badly doesn't affect other people around me.

the tax on cigarettes need to be $1000 per pack....wish it was.
