First, my conclusion: This is just another example of a paranoid extremest logic:

I checked out several sources. You say "800 prisons," "Abovetopsecret.com" says 600, and "Rotton.com" doesn't even venture a guess - but both are ardent backers of your contention.

"Blogcritics.org" talks of a $385 million appropriation made during the Clinton Administration to set up camps as safe havens for disaster victims in case of a national emergency or epidemic. (so much for the Bush conspiracy to house dissidents.)
Soon after this appropriation, it became apparent to the conspiracy theorists that any federal land, especially if unused and with a fence around it, was essentially now a concentration camp.
This included Area 51, old and abandoned WWII relocation camps, closed down military bases and so on.

There is no factual basis for any of the conclusions that these areas are anything more than just areas that could be used by the victims in the event of a national disaster - flood, avian flu or other epidemic and so on.

Additional note - a lot of the web sites resulting from "concentration or prison camp" searches also had links to "9/11" "Kennedy Assasination" "Moon Landing" and the like.

No red flag there if you're looking for valid facts, eh?
