Its differnt for many women some take about a month but if you feel that your bleeding is not normal or lasting to long you should really talk to your doctor.

Every ones body is different. I bleed for 5 weeks then a day later got my normal period, and bleed for 3 more weeks. After that I started having what I considered normal periods that lasted 2-4 days. My daughter is now 8 months and my cycle is completely back to the way it was before I got pregnant. Just be patient your body needs time to heal after the baby..

You should stop bleeding by 6 weeks postpartum but if you are heavily bleeding for this long than I would call your doctor. If you feel like fainting than you might be losing too much blood. I bled pretty heavily for the first month after with my son and only for the first week with my daughter. You can lightly bleed for longer than 6 weeks. If you have any doubt than I would ask your OB-gyn or doctor.

I bled heavy for about 2-3 weeks, then it started to tapper off, but everytime I would over work myself I would bleed heavy for a day or 2, so just take it easy, and if you are still bleeding after 6 weeks, ask your Dr.

It's different for every woman and at every child birth. With my first, I bled about 4-5 weeks, with my second I stopped before I left the hospital and with my third it took about 2 weeks. I've heard others talk about it taking up to 6 weeks.

It is different for each individual.
I beleive that it has something to do with how long your periods usually last. mine are 3-4 days...After giving birth I bled for 1 week.
A friend who's periods lasted 8-9 days bled for 4 weeks after giving birth.
