Skiing all the way. You have way more control being able to use both legs. I've done both and I still say skiing. My favorite resort is by far Jackson Hole. Vail is way too expensive for my taste. Not to mention Jackson Hole has the biggest vertical drop in North America if you like steep.

The boarders will say snowboarding is best. The skiers will say skiing is best. What's the right answer? Only you can determine which one is best for YOU!

As far as what's the best resort, again, much too much a subjective question... my favorite resort is Whiteface in Lake Placid/Wilmington, NY.

I just moved to Germany... I'm sure there are awesome resorts in Europe!

Skiing is easy to pick up but hard to master.
Snowboarding is hard to pick up but easier to master.

If you want my personal opinion I'd say skiing, because you have much better control and you get poles.
And the best resort? Anywhere in New Zealand, It's great down here!

boarding is really more fun and less dangerous. last season i tore my acl becuz i fell on skis and my leg twisted backwards. I dont see how i could do that same thing on a board. And snowboarding is new and in style, everyone loves to pick on a skier and throw snowballs at them!Boarding is also really peaceful when ur all by yourself carving snow and once you get it its really easy. the resorts are best in lake tahoe becuase its warm even when its the peak of winter season.(northstar resort is really good)
