Who keeps those records?

Should people call their Board of Elections with specific info on when and which machine they voted from for proof the the vote was properly counted?

The poll watcher said the proof is there that the vote was submitted.

If the computer chips and software in these machines can be programmed to falsely represent the true input, imagine how easy it is to also supply false output on any attempt to validate the actual input.

In Maine - the only machines used in the voting process are the electronic scanners that read the paper ballots - and any recount is easy because the ballots are real, tangible and available. Certainly not the quickest way - but, assuredly, the one that garners the most confidence in the voting process.

In cases of paperless voting, there is absolutely no way of verifying that votes were counted accurately. All the machine records are the totals.

This is why Republicans like them. They build the machines, and hire people to program them to elect Republicans, against the will of the voters, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

I think that the people should have a say in their voting system. Paperless voting should not be allowed ever, anywhere.

I also think that, when one party has prevented members of the other party from casting votes (as happened in Florida in 2000, for example), that the election should be called void, and be held, with sufficient scrutiny to prevent fraud.

Unfortunately, in this country, if you steal an election, you get away with it, and the country gets stuck with an anti-American despot.
