R fish tank pumps noisy 4 fish?

ever been fishing in a boat? sound travels through water almost 3 times faster than through air. if you use a pump set it on something that will dampen the noise, actully noise isnt the main culprit. its the vibration. instead of a pump, maybe try an intank filter or use a longer air hose so you can put the pump on a different surface than the tank.

Not much nouse affects fish. The only time i have ever seen a fish start to freak out is if we vaccum the floor right next to the tank. But this doesn't always happen

only if u put it right next to the tank. but in general, no. most air pumps nowadays r made very quiet.
