All I can suggest is you ring the Factory Manager and have a chat to him. He may be prepared to exchange it.
Why not go down to the store with a digital camera and see if you can find some other pants with the zipper ripped out, and photograph them. Then ring the manager.
But you are right, leave the second grade stuff alone. Sure, it costs more to buy the good stuff, but it costs less in the long run.

I bought a pair of work shoes from them and they were not cheap. After two days they started coming apart at the seams that run down the shoes. I took them back and they would not do anything for me. They said that since the shoes were worn they would not take them back or give me a credit. Even if they were only worn twice.

Buyer beware.

Did you have a receipt?

Many times, they will think that you did the ripping, but you actually didn't. You should have asked for store credit.

Don't bother going back there again, too much frustration!

Man, im sorry your burlington sucks.

The one down here is great! A little messy, but if you're willing to sift through it all (which I am) you can always find something.

I don't like them either, their stores are horribly organized, and the workers don't care to be there, either.
