Unfortunately, not everyone likes the "bang them over the head with it" approach. Somewhere inbetween, the word "tact" comes up. I will start out a statement with tact, and before I am finished, I am more than straigthforward...blunt comes to mind. Oh well, I try and I fail...thems the cookies. But, at the same time, I do NOT become straightforward IF I have not been asked for an opinion or judgement....that is tactless and hurtful, isn't it? No matter what you call it, if it hurts for NO reason, it is mean. If there is a reason, then so be it...Good luck

From a possible lover: I like a bit of both. I want to *know* that they like me and not have to guess at it, but at the same time I want to take my time with them and not be getting straight to "your place or mine."

As for me... I'd *like* to be more straightforward, but I'm always too scared of rejection... if get the 'not interested' hint I always feel like I can save some face by pretending I wasn't either, which is easier to do if I was indirect.

I definite prefer the "straight forward approach" Honesty keeps the hurt feelings down to a managable level.

The truth will come out soon about all things.

Straightforward.A relationship needs honesty and each person to be upfront so if there is a problem they can sit down and discuss it and then work on the relationship itself.Secrets come out eventually and no one likes guessing games.

I hate indirect people. It is too confusing to always be wondering "what does that mean?", if anything. I prefer for someone to be honest and direct about anything that they believe needs to be dealt with.
