Mostly, they don't unless their in zoos. Once there habitat is gone, they're gone. Squirrels are the exception.

Some animals can co-exist with humankind by being able to live in the environment that people bring.

People tend to leave food and water out for their pets. Guess what? Opossums, skunks, raccoons, and coyotes will eat and drink if those are left out overnight.

People plant trees. Guess what? Some wild birds will use those trees as nesting sites. Some will eat the fruits. Some will eat the seeds.

an animal can live in a city becuase any animal can live off a dead animal body(carcass) to live in any different city habitat. ( my sons answer :) )
