Metallica, I seen them in 1997 at Market Square Arena, Indianapolis. They didn't have anything fancy ,just a revolving stage. It wasn't about a light show or anything else. Only Rock and Roll. I am also a big Doken fan. Does anybody remember them? George Lynch (Doken guitarist) is one of the great guitarist of all times. He has a awesome solo on his Lynch mob album called sacred groove. If you love guitar you must hear it. Oh and there is Ac Dc

erm... My personal favorites for the best are...
Sonic Youth... because of their ability to make dissonance something lovely.
Fleetwood Mac... because they've consistently turned out good music over a period of 40 years with 12 different front men/women, who all rocked hard by the way
Led Zeppelin... because they are timeless

I'd have to say I have a lot of respect for Guns N Roses. Perhaps Metallica.
