I was going through questions on here, And someone had asked about losing their mucous plug, And got a reply saying 'If you lose your mucous plug, and don't go into labor within 48hours of, It grows back'...I was just wondering if this was true...

I'm 39wks and 2 days, And lost a couple pieces of mine yesterday...But I've never heard of it 'growing back'..?!?!

Thanks in advance!!!

I didn't think it just 'magically' grew back, Lol...In fact, I just went to the restroom again, And I'm still losing bits and pieces of it.

LOL! That is funny! No, once its gone its gone. Heck, I didn't even know I had lost mine. I kept waiting and waiting for that little "clue" to labor but it never happend!(at least not that I knew of.)

Best of luck to you and your new bundle of joy!

Hehehe someone actually said that? I need to check the answers. That's why I kinda asked for experienced people to answer. :p that makes my otherwise painful day!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it doesn't grow back.

No it won't grow back. - Some people don't even notice it coming out and waters breaking does not mean labour right away, it can be another day or too for some.
