Find the type of business on the link below that best describes what it is that YOU do (or want to do). Then see how to truly use the Net to make your specific business (or business idea) thrive. http://www.wotsnext.com

As an example, take a look at how I use the above. Then see if you can fit something similar around your own area of expertise. Then all you need is a passion and some persistence. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/are-you-psychic.html This page links you to all the resources I use.

I guess it all depends on what type of online business site you are looking for. Are you looking for just a static web site so people and just view your products and offerings and pricing but it's not necessary to have a shopping cart and be able to process credit card online?

Or are you looking for a full blown site with shopping cart and payment transactions?

The first one is easy as all you need is to pay for hosting which is a place where they will provide you the webspace and then you can register your own URL. Yahoo can host site for you for real cheap and also to get your own URL you can get it for under $10 per year. I think you can get a decent hosting wtih URL name for about $50 - $60 a year.

The second one will actually require you to hire someone that can build these things for you. You will need to setup some type of DB to keep track of customers, addresses, products, etc, etc.

And the last option is to use Yahoo shops or eBay shops or Half shops or Pricegrabber Shops which is a simple way of setting up a generic web front wher eyou can sell products and you have to pay a fee to whoever you go with. I don't know the full details but here is a link for info:

If you really want to create maximum business value on your own I think it's worth using a CMS (content management system) like Drupal (market leading product), which permits you to set up, design and update websites very easily. In E-Commerce, design has a lot to do with marketing and I would definitely pick an option that allows you to be flexible in that. You need to differentiate. Otherwise you might as well sell on Ebay (and get defeated by the Hong Kong power sellers).

I definitely recommend you to read a lot of guides and blogs from experts on online marketing and search engine optimization. This is essential. If you become good at it, it'll enable you to grow a lot quicker than your bigger competitors.

This is a cheap hosting website where you can get (free) Drupal pre-installed with an e-commerce module:

The only business that will work for you is the business of your own. Business that is based on your knowledge, hobbies, experience, interests, likes and passion. When we do what we love to do and what we are interested in, we do not feel like working and our chances of making an exceptional income at the same time are the highest. Majority of offers you will be getting here are offers to join someone else company offered to you by people who never made any money with these programs in the first place. Just ask for their proof of income after at least one year with the company and all you will hear is humdrum and what somebody else is making. Haven't you tried several of them already? Einstein described lunacy as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different result. If serious about HBB contact me at my gmail address shown in my profile listing all your interests, hobbies, and a level of income you would like to see in what period of time. I will make suggestions at no cost to you. No secrets to sell you for there are none. Just a common sense, which as you already know is not so common anymore.

You might check out Best Wholesale Electronics. I bought one of their websites about 6 months ago and I have been very satisfied. Once it got indexed by the search engines, it started generating sales on a regular basis.
