On an internet page, click tools-click internet options-click delete files, then click on temp files, cookies and history.
As far as I know, unless you shut down the computer after this you cannot delete items searched in the search bar.
Or buy Windows Washer which can activate when you shut down the computer

If you are using Mozilla2, the same is available under tools/clear private data and then delete what ever u want to delete by selecting via checking the check box. and if you are using a lower version, the tools/options have the feature for the same

click the clock with an arrow on it by the 'favorites' button. then right click the links you want the delete and and delete

CCleaner is a good program. It will wash all the hidden files in Windows.
