It happens. With the stress of being a new mom, having someone hang all over you all day, and just basic "other priorities" makes it easy to not feel it, or think it isn't necessary. For some women it more of an "out of sight, out of mind" thing. I was that way. My husband however, wasn't having it. We saw a councilor and were advised to "make an appointment" and just do it. Sometimes you have to remind yourself of the closeness and emotional intimacy that goes along with the physical. After making it a point to get together I found myself getting back into the old rhythm of wanting to have sex. Mind you it isn't as often as it used to be, but its there. You may also want to think about what birth control method you are using, if you are using one. I had an IUD put in after my daughter was born and didn't realize how much the hormones has affected me until I had it removed to get pregnant again. Within hours of having it removed I felt like a new person. And my sex drive was greatly improved. Good luck to you!

Having a baby can put a lot of worries and pressures on any mother and now that the child is 2 1/2, you have the terrible twos and it is ALOT of work trying to chase and occupy them. It is a 24 hour job. This can make any one haggard, runned down and exhausted and not in the mood for pretty much anything at the end of the day. One may start getting their sex drive back "maybe" after the he has grown out of that stage and the schedule becomes less demanding. If not, it may be your partner.

Its normal to lose your sex drive after having a baby because your hormones are imbalanced and doing different things than they once were before the baby. After about 6mos. the sex drive should be coming back into place. For some it takes longer, maybe a year. I would see your gyno. doctor and see what you can do. Because by this time you should have it back.

Completely!!!! It comes back though, but give it time. Having a 2 year old running around is exhausting! You may want to check with your Dr. and see if your birth control could be causing it too. I have a 2 year old, and I have little drive still... I just have to make myself do it, then I usually get into it. Good luck!

It's normal to be worn out when caring for a toddler, but your marriage is important, too. I suggest you hire a sitter once a month and get away with your husband for the weekend. Sometimes a change of pace or location can work wonders!

I lost my sex drive when I was 6 months pregnate, now 3 years later I pretty much had to just do it. Just so I could remind myself why I liked it in the first place. It finally came back to me. I hope this helps.

I am the same way I just make myself do it so I feel normal Exercise should help your libido go back to normal but I think mine is a self esteem issue with my body and how I am not totally satisfied yet. I want my abs back but I just have to remember to keep trying!

2 1/2 months or 2 1/2 years? If it's years I seriously doubt it's normal. Talk to your doctor about it.
