To be honest i use both, Windows Media Player for watching the thousands of avi files that i've created from all the DVD's we own and various other video files, iTunes for creating and playing Mp3's and listening to the free radio stations on there.

WMP 11 is a PLAYER for music and video, with equalizers, surround effects, visualizations, full video control, like color, hue, etc., and a lot of stuff. iTunes is just a piece of software for uploading music into crappy iPods. So they can't really be compared.

Besides, WMP will sync with a lot pf mp3 players, unlike iTunes that works only with crappy iPods.

So, it's easy.... WMP 11. And besides, it will rip & burn cds!!! ☺

Avoid itunes as it limits you to an ipod. Also avoid WMP as it doesn't work properly (on my PC). Get Winamp, use MP3 format and you won't be limited to any particular type of MP3 player.

I've used bot alot. But I prefer Itunes. It's just better.

I do use WMP to sync my MP3 player, though.
