Karl Rove is the king of sleaze. He exults in this. Republicans while they fill up the pews are grateful that a funny looking gay man is behind their success. Jesus would not be amused.

As much as I want to answer yes, I know full well that hypocrisy will remain. But as to sleaze, die hard right wingers will be fleeing like roaches once the light of accountability is shined on them.

If things look good for the dems tonight, law offices, PR firms, and fiction novel writers across the land will be burning the midnight oil in order to cover tracks, lay ground for an '08 comeback, and work up scripts for Rush and Fox News.

They way I look at it, at least employment in this area is gonna look pretty secure... heck, they have mortgages and credit card bills too ya'know...

Hello, your lack of understanding is showing. There's an abundance of ignorance, greed and sleaze in Washington and the republicans have no monopoly on it. It's just that the media tend to hype the negative on the republicans, making the dems look better. Might be worth your while to focus on who's gonna keep our butts safe at night if the dems get in. Believe me, just because we've not had another 9/11 doesn't mean the boogie men have left the room. If the dems haven't got a plan, our safety record is on a slide.

No. The sleaze and hypocrisy will come from donkeys instead of from elephants. That's the only change that will be made, at least in terms of sleaze and hypocrisy. Don't like Karl Rove? I suppose you admire the dickens out of James Carville instead?

If you're talking about partisan politics, I'd have to say that the "National nightmare of sleaze and hypocrisy" will only just begin. Imagine a politician killing someone and then, having a media conference. That particular individual was never called to task. Or another, who managed to completely subvert and overthrow a working system only to leave "We the people" with a system so completely hosed that's literally costing us billions. Imagine a group of politicians breaking into your home and once there, the police (whom you called to have evict and possibly haul off to jail these unwelcome intruders) telling you that now you are responsible for feeding, clothing, housing and educating them. Remember, they broke into yur house. No, it won't end, it will only just begin!

First of all, sleaze and hypocrisy have absolutely nothing to do with democrat or republican. If you vote that way, there is no further need to explain why we have a president who was never actually elected by popular vote or the fact that we had a president who was impeached and yet was the most popular president ever.

Get informed and then get out and vote. Quite whining and complaining about things and vote - better yet, if you think you are so perfect, you should run and change things.

No, I'm afraid not. I don't think we can ever go back. Maybe the Democrats will think of a new way to present the same ol' sleaze.

Are you serious? As history has shown, there will always be sleaze and hypocrisy in government. Most everyone has their own agenda. It's about the drive for power and money.
