Well, in order to solve it, you have to set it equal to something, because as of right now, it's just a random algebraic expression that means nothing.

If you set it equal to zero however...

14c/15 + 7/17 = 0
14c/15 = -7/17
14c = -105/17
c= -15/34

cross multiply to get a comon denominator

17*14c + 7*15
--------------------
15*17

=

234c + 105
----------------
255

but for a soloution to find what C is. the fraction must = something

say it =0 c woudl be

14c/15 +7/17 = 0
14c/15= -7/17
14c= 15*(-7/17)
c = (15*[-7/17])/14
c= -15/34

14c/15 + 7/17 = 0

255(14c/17) + 255(7/17 = 0

238c + 105 = 0

238c + 105 - 105 = 0 - 105

238c = - 105

238c/238 = - 105/238

c = - 105/237

c = - 15/34

The answer is = - 15/34

- - - - - - - - - - s-

That is the simplified form. You are missing the other expression, which will make it an equation or inequality.
