they are hydralic and have no adjusters, you will need to diagnose the problem and fix it

You can take off the valve covers and tighten the adjustments on the rocker arms till they stop chattering, but if they're loose in the first place, something is giving out. Bad lifters, cam wearing out, rocker arms going, etc.
With new lifters you generally tighten the adjuster down 1 to 1-1/2 turns past the point where they stop clattering. But if they're clattering because the lifters are bad, you might wind up with valves that don't close all the way.

They are non adjustable. If they are ticking because there is a lot of sludge in the motor you might be able to use a product to disolve the gummy stuff and lube the sticking lifters. Ask at your local auto parts store. The oil probably did not get changed enough . I now people that just keep it full but dont change it.

302 rockers haven't been adjustable since about the early-mid 1970's. If the rockers are rattling you have one or more of the following,
Very low oil pressure.
Severe wear of the lifters (or collapsed/stuck lifters), rockers or rocker pivots.
Bent push rods.

Most likely it's an oil pressure problem, but I have seen severely worn out lifters in high mileage 302's

SEVERAL VEHICLES HAVE A LIFTER CHATTER THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM,BUT IF IT IS LOUDER IN ONE AREA OF THE HEAD(S) THEN REMOVE THE VALVE COVER(s) AND TIGHTEN SLOWLY UNTIL NOISE DECREASES,BUT INVESTING IN A MANUAL WOULD NOT HURT, THEY ARE CHEAP (UNDER 20$) SOMETIMES EVEN CHEAPER ON EBAY.COM

Probably needs a cam, fords are notorious for weak oil pumps also.
