Well most day cares charge around 30-35$ a day for small children. If your just babysitting a hour or two you can set an hourly rate , but for a whole day kind of situation i would consider setting a flat day rate. But most people don't want to be paying a babysitter more than the daycare. Good luck

Around seven dollars an hour, for a three year old. I normally charge five dollars an hour, but all the kids I babysit are really easy to watch.

depends on the area you live in.
i pay $1200. a month for 3 kids to go to full time to day care.
its usually higher for infants than a toddler.
most are around $100 a week some less some more.
if hourly i think its usually around $3-$4 dollars an hour if just used as an hourly part time basis.

I would charge no more then $10/hr otherwise it is cheaper for the parent to go to a daycare. I would also suggest the parents bring food or you have to charge like $3. extra a day that is what they charge at my three yr olds school if I don't bring him lunch and snacks.
