I am planning for pregnancy,i have started taking 800 MCG of Folic Acid and Centrum Balanced Formula Multivitamin Tablets
IS it ok to take 800 MCG of Folic acid before pregnancy?
My Centrum Multivitamin Tablet also contain 200 MCG Of Folic Acid.So I take both of these tablets alternatively to avoid overdose of Folic Acid.
But My Centrum Multivitamin Tablet does not meet the RDI Standard, will it be benefcial or i have to change my multivitamin ?
Do I have to take it daily?Taking 1000 MCG of Folic acid is ok or not before pregnancy?

You should be taking 400mCG of folic acid, or take a pre-natal vitamin, and a 1mg folic acid supplement. 1000MCG is too much. Also, my doctor told me that the amount of folic acid in the prenatal vitamins is enough, along with a well balanced diet, however I continued to take the 1mg supplement until 12 weeks. Good luck

Folic Acid, is good, but most of the other multivitamin tablet and all this extra this and that, is all a waste of time. If you have to take all this, then you need to take a good look at what you are eating.
you need to be eating Natural foods with no additive,

also Green Bananas is great for you, start to take them before you get pregnant all spinage, the green Bananas as 100% iron in the Caribbean you will fined that almost every pregnant woman eat this with the Calaloo.

take a prenatal multivitamin, they're specially formulated for pregnancy. They sell them at health food stores and in the vitamin aisle at grocery stores. Some docs will even give them to you for free ;)

It's probably best if you talk to your O.B./ Gyn. or at least consult a pharmacist
