Florida is incredibly hot and humid. It is over-developed. Florida was also the center bungled voting methods in the 2000 Presidential election, where George Bush won amid numerous questionable election tactics.

To clarify a previous poster's response, there are a lot of Cubans in Florida, but they are invariably LEGAL immigrants who came as refugees at the invitation of the U.S. government.

It's HOT. There are NO seasons. There are too many old people who have too much control over the state. The grass is not naturally there; someone has to bring it there, and eventually it looks like it's been there for a while. There's no snow. The pay for most jobs is really LOW (especially for teachers!!), while the cost of living, especially in South FL is HIGH!!
