I think in the beginning the shows were more "reality", but now they have writers, editing and so on......where's the reality in that? I don't care for them much.

I'm not a big fan of reality tv...its getting really old now. However, i was always a fan of Real World (before the whole reality tv craze broke out). In a way reality tv IS fake. They edit these shows sooooo much and only show the viewers selected clips. If they actually showed every single second of what was recorded it would be extremely long and really lame.

reality shows blow and yes they are fake(they know the outcome
before the last show airs).Today there is no understanding or
accounting for peoples taste in what they watch on tv and why

I like reality shows because they all have basic human emotions just very very hightened and magnified because the people on the show are living in a fish bowl and can't interact with anyone else. The drama is hilarious.

Of course they're fake... it's so obvious by the unconvincing way New York threw the Flav contest in exchange for having her own show. But it's still fun to watch, for the few spontaneous moments.

because there isn't anything else decent on tv ,certainly none of the half hour comedies. there r several good hour programs but i guess the people that watch reality shows don't think so
give me the days of All in the family tv.

because we love to see others acting so dumb! and we can try and imagine what it would be like to see ourselves. You know what I mean, I don't think I'll ever get cast on Desperate Houseviwes, but there's always a chance I could get on a "reality" show

I love survivor and big brother and all that reality crap! I'm not saying I believe everything I see but it makes for interesting TV!

because its beter than what some of the writers come up with..it seems like the rehash the same stories from other shows
