sono at 30 weeks confirmed baby measured 32, and my stomach measured 32, at 32 weeks stomach measured 35 and at 33 weeks stomach is measuring 37. Im not eating wrong so doc say's I have a big baby but also may have excess fluid (no gestational diabities or anything, and doc didn't seem to concerned about that except it is pushing down on my uterous and baby is already so low..) So I am measuring a month ahead, also I am starting to dialate. Does anyone know what any of this means, and is any of it dangerous for my lil man? Doc say's to stay off my feet until 34 weeks were i get another check up. Is labor soon? What does excess fluid mean?

Same thing happened to me....I measured a month ahead too. Turns out I was right and the doctor was wrong about my due date. I kept telling them this and they didn't think I was right but I was a month further along than they thought. So my baby was 7lbs 10oz at 37 weeks according to them. Could you imagine keeping him in for another month he would of been huge.

I wouldn't worry unless the doctor says it is a real problem. They thought I would have a hard time delivering the baby....but I didn't he was actually the easiest birth for me.....two pushes and we were done!

Good luck and congrats.

Sometimes when there is too much fluid it can indicate that the baby has a problem swallowing, as it is supposed to swallow and then urinate in the sac. This is supposed to keep the fluid levels even. It could be harmless. Ask your doctor if they can run tests to check to see if the baby can swallow. I'm not sure if they can check that before they are born.

i was exactly the same as u at 36 weeks i was measuring 41cm, so i was sent off for an ultrasound which said my baby was about 3kg which is normal weight! and there is a bit of extra fluid. i can't remember what it means but i know its nothing to worry about! as long as your baby's heart beat is fine and blood flow and so on.
my baby was also engaged but they never gave me an exam to see if i was dilating.
anyway i am due this monday, i am still pregnant and waiting for the birth of my boy!
i think you will be fine as long as you dont let your self stress about it!
your baby can be angaged for several weeks and u can also be dilated for several weeks with no labour!
with my first son i was 4cm dilated 2 weeks before he was due and he was 2 weeks over due when he was born.

you'll be fine sweety!
good luck on your birth
