There is also a OTC medication called AZO. It will relieve the pressure and burning feelings. Wall-mart has it, if you can't find it ask someone because, the first time I went to get it I couldn't find it at all. They had it in the isle with the baby gas drops. It won't take the place of antibiotics but, it will give you some relief until you can get some. AZO also makes a concentrated cranberry pill to help keep the UTIs from coming back. Since I started taking the AZO cranberry I haven't had but one UTI in the past two years. GOOD LUCK!!! I hope you start to feel better!!!
P.S. If I were you I would still go to the doc because, if you let the UTIs go without some type of antibiotics the infection could get into your bloodstream and you could get put in to the hospital. Trust me that is what I did about 5 years ago and I was in the hospital for 6 days. It was not fun!!!

You really should see a doctor to make sure that's what it is. They can give you a prescription to treat it. Then, to keep them from coming back, go buy some Cranassure. It's in the vitamin aisle. It helps to prevent UTIs. Cranberries are great for your UT system. Better to take them concentrated in pill form. Cranberry juice doesn't contain that much real cranberry juice and it has too much sugar--which is really bad for UTIs.

Lots of water to flush the kidneys, cranberry extract capsules to acidify the urine, goldenseal root powder in capsules to fight the infection. You should notice relief in 2 to 3 days. (If you're still not feeling better after 3 days, consider seeing a health practitioner.) Continue with the goldenseal 2x daily for 10 days. Continue with cranberry indefinitely if you are prone to get UTIs.
BTW, if you've been flushing already w/ water & cranberry juice, chances are your physician would not even detect a problem.
