Neddie...(I really hate to have to keep correcting you, but this one's almost funny!)

First, a definition:

Blue Dog Democrat: "One of 33 conservative Democratic Members of the House of Representatives who have banded together to support a more centrist position on economic issues than that held by their party's leadership".

Source: C-Span Congressional Glossary (see link below)

The "Blue Dog Democrats" were formed in Louisiana in 1994, the year of Newt Gingrich's congressional coalition and "Contract with America". Their purpose was to move the Democratic Party in a more conservative direction.

Ever heard of Zell Miller?

If they are going to do anything in the coming days, they will be moving closer to Republicans and further away from the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

If you don't believe me, just read the platforms of James Webb, Harold Ford and Bob Casey, or better yet, the following synopsis of an October 30th article published by that bastion of right wing propaganda, The New York Times (see link below):

"Democrats eager to win back control of House turn to conservative and moderate candidates who fit profiles of their districts more closely than profile of national party; if such candidates win, they may be expected to side with Republicans and Bush White House, leading to tensions between party's new centrists and its more liberal political base; Democratic officials say they searched for candidates with greatest possibility of winning against Republicans, and wound up with number who reflect more moderate views; say this held true in suburban areas and some rural districts in particular; if crop of moderate and conservative Democrats arrive on Capitol Hill as members of Democratic majority, they would not have clout to change face of Congress; but party veterans would regain chairmanships and House leadership posts..."

To use your words, if these guys are going to “guide America down the right path…”, it will truly be down the RIGHT path!

Hilarious!

A Blue canines Democrat is a Democrat who likes weapons and company welfare and opposes abortion. A Democrat who holds 2 of those 3 positions generally qualifies. recently, although, they have been much less Blue canines and greater warm canines. Time to grill 'em, and tell them that in the event that they gained't help the President on wellness care, they are going to lose the 2010 commonplace. what's the think approximately electing a Democrat if he's going to vote like a Republican? As Harry Truman taught us, provide the persons a call between a real Republican and a pretend Republican, and that they are going to decide for a Republican each time.

If the democrats regain power, the troops will come home, our taxes will go up, and we will stick our heads in the sand until the next terrorist attack. Basically they will resign our country to being a bunch of namby-pamby panty-waist UN butt-kissers who have none of the willpower required of a great nation. We will become the laughingstock of the world because they will know we are weak when the going gets tough.

In addition, the dems will continue to prop up our failed welfare and social systems (started by democrats) that have done nothing but maintain a lower tier of society that subsists barely above the poverty level. And all this will be done with your tax dollars that you earned. But, as we know, the dems are smarter and make better decisions with your money than you do.

I don't think the Democrats will be solely responsible for any kind of turn around, but I definitely think their presence needs to be strong in order to see a change -a gradual change; nothing overnight.

GOP hell, huh

1. Dow Average highest ever
2. Lower unemployment than under Clinton

Move to a foreign country if you hate Republicans so much. There are plenty of socialist countries where you would fit in.

The Blue Dog Democrats are a thing of the past. Socialists have killed the democratic party.

The democratic party of today does not resemble the grand days of the party.
