i agree. i think he will leave charlton in january for a better club. personally i think he may go to newcastle or middlesbrough. they are two bigger clubs and both need strengthening in attack. plus it would improve his chances of getting into the england team if he does leave charlton for a bigger club.

Because he likes Charlton very much. ;-P

He certainly can deliver the goods. His scoring run last season gave Charlton a good start. It was only the rest of the team that let him down and Charlton went into a slump. Bent still ended up as the top English scorer in the Premier League last season, and third overall.

My guess is that he will want to try and bring Charlton out of their current poor form, failing which he will move to another club.

I think that Darren Bent is an outstanding striker, having followed him through his career when he first started at Ipswich, i was suprised that no one bigger than Charlton went in for him last summer, as he transfered championship form into the premiership.

Bent is clearly a loyal player, and i will give another two season's before he leaves, mayve to an Arsenal or Manchester United.

as long as charlton stay up he will stay, unless charlton get a good offer and accept it.
but i know darren bent is very loyal and happily settled in london, he wouldn't ask to leave.
