Not really - the decision and act of loving someone happens whether that person chooses to love you back or not. People mistake love for a feeling. It isn't, love is a committed and determined decision to stick by someone and support them regardless of their own actions. It doesnt require a return action from the person that is being loved. Most people think that the opposite of love is hate, I dont believe it is. The opposite of love is selfishness...when you are selfish you are only thinking of yourself..when you love you are giving to someone else.

It should be..I know that sometimes one gives more than the other but the commitment should be there for both parties. I know from experience because I wound up giving a lot more than my ex...and he will be the first to admit that. It gets very frustrating when you are the only one in a relationship that is trying.

Yes, while we're going down the street in our beat up Toyota, I'm watching the Mustang coming toward us. It's so gorgeous, it captivates me while it's here, then it's gone, and I'm back to riding in my beat up Toyota.
