I will advise you to look out for an option to work online. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I can share my personal experience with you. When u are planning for a home based online work, be very careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site. I would like to share a link where you can make $600 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting a discussion and answering a discussion. the link is:
http://tinyurl.com/yhzzph
if you will work hard you can even make $1000 or more.. it all depends on your usage pattern. I worked for 1 hour daily last month and i got paid $238 for the last month. so i dont think earning £15-£20 per week will be easy for you
Please let me know, if you have any queries. I will try my best to give you right answer

You're not going to be able to be hired legally at a normal business like fast food restaurant, sales or anything like that. You're going to have to start your own business doing odd jobs or come up with something you can sell to make money.
Mow neighbor's lawns
Babysitting
Walking dogs, raking leaves, trimming hedges, cleaning pools, painting fences, washing cars, running errands for old ladies, picking up groceries, other deliveries if you have a bike...
Sell your unwanted things on eBay, or hold a garage sale, or put up fliers somewhere at your school where such things are permitted. And ask your family if there's anything around the house you can sell and take part of the profits.
I don't know about the UK but some people in the US make money collecting aluminum cans and redeeming them for cash at recycling centers.
Bake cookies or cakes and sell them. You might have to health codes that prevent you from selling certain home made items to the public?
Buy sodas, candy, &c in bulk and then sell them at public events, parks, only where you're not competing with real businesses.
If the trip is organized through your school you might be able to hold a fund raiser at your school allowing bake sales or candy sales to be done on the premises where it'd be otherwise not permitted. Ask your trip supervisor or principal of the school.

Car wash? Could go to a retirement home and offer to buy shopping for all the elderly people? (with their cash, not yours: obviously!) Take up more than one paper round?
When I was 13, I worked in a Corner Shop stacking shelves for £3.25/hour: worked about 8hours a week. As well as this I did a paper round of my own and frequently covered someone elses. Gave me plenty of pocket money to buy the odd CD and Xmas presents etc. Maybe talk to small local shops and see if they have any part-time jobs going, both in store and paper rounds.

When i was your age i put an ad near to where i lived and offered to do peoples shopping and light housework for money or take there dogs for a walk, you would be surprised how grateful some older people would be for the help. You could have a good clear out at home and get rid of lots of things and if you dont want to do a boot sale advertise in loot its free. Hope you get lots of answers and have a lovely time in america.

First, write a letter explaining what you want to do and why it is a good cause. Send this letter to everyone you know asking them if they can help with a gift in any amount.
Secondly, appeal to civic organizations such as Rotary and explain your need to them.
Third, organize a fund-raiser. Your parent could help you with a garage or rummage sale or car wash or something similar.
The combination of these 3 ideas may raise the money faster than you could do by trying to get a job to raise the entire amount yourself.
Good luck.

Get 2 paper rounds, 1 morning and 1 evening. Get your parents to sell some of your stuff on ebay or at a car boot, ask for money for xmas and save like mad.
Good Luck!

at 13, legally, only a paper round, as most jobs you need to be 16. Maybe some gardening, window cleaning or other odd jobs for neighbours.

I have had that problem before, for starts for you're birthday ask for money, do things around the house e.g mo the lawn, hoover the house, clean the car, do this for money. You're parents are the best source. Even try Grandparents.
