It looks like a mushroom...white fleshy top, stem, but it has no gills, is hard as a rock and when I pulled it out of the ground it has roots! They are all over varing in size...some are as large as a pizza. Someone, please help me ID this strange fungi. Oh, btw, it smells!

It's a mushroom, don't get it on your hands Honey, most are poisonous. I just had some pictures of these and I can't say now which one this is, sorry. Try not to get them on your hands.

Could be a type of mushroom in the puffball family. Mabye an earth star. Puffballs are large and white, have a stem and not gills but do have roots. Thye come in all sizes. Some get as big as basketballs but they usually aren't hard.

It's a mushroom, don't get it on your hands or touch it, most are poisonous. If you dont want it there go to your local nursery & get something to kill it with.
