for it or against it?, should internet be censored?, who decides what material is pornography?, does it hinder self confidence or build it?, would you stop if you knew you were hurting someone by looking at it?, do the images stick in your head?, does this interfere with sex?, do you ever put a image from pornography in place of your partner/spouse while making love? if you are for it, do you keep this a secret...if so why? I am writing a paper so extreme honesty and candid answeres are appreciated. thanks!

I'm neutral. Search engines block it if you choose for them to and there are programs to block access to them if you have kids. I think the defintion of pornography is quite general (sex, sex, sex).
It can hinder confidence if the person who views it doesn't have the type of body as the porn star or has those amazing "skills". I don't see how it can actually build confidence...but it can "teach" people things.

I would stop if it was hurting someone. Besides, I prefer erotic literature.

The images don't stick to my head for longer than 5 minutes.
It doesn't interfere with sex.
I can't visualize anyone else but my partner during sex.

It ruins lives. It is addictive and dangerous, some people spend their entire bank accounts on it. It does not portray real sexuality since in reality there is a thing called consequences such as pregnancy, std, reputation and emotional factors. I also found out the other day on a news program about pornorgaphy that alot of porn stars work with the same people over and over and over, even though the movie title and scenes try to prove different.

Hey, ya know what's fun ? Substitute the word "pornography" with various other words and then read that again.

it may seem pleasurble to most people that view such things, but in reality it is terrible and ruins lives. people can waste thousands of dollars on such things. it crumbles self dignity and self confidence. all together. it is a sin and a lie.

Please see Diana Russel's research on Pornography http://www.dianarussell.com/index.html . There is evidence it desensitises viewers to violence against women. I am against pornography but for egalitarian erotica.

It is just nasty. The people who participate in it have absolutely no self-respect.
