It is a very dark discovery to find that you want to committ suicide. It is a cry for help and more so a wanting to end pain as opposed to their life. It is important to remember that living is so beautiful, there are so many things that are to be experienced and ending it all is not the best or only solution.
What is your purpose in life?
Where can you find true inner peace?
How would you be affected by the death of someone realllllllly close to you?
Ask those questions before (you) decide to end it all, because it is forever.

Teen agers are "ego-centric" and have trouble looking at things from another point of view. It's difficult for a teen to look to the future and see what lies ahead of them. It's also difficult to accept what others are saying who are just trying to help. They feel isolated and lonely and that no one understands them. It's a difficult time of life and if things are not stable in the teen's world it leads to hopelessness and sometimes the hopelessness leads to thoughts of dying. It's very sad.

They're extremely depressed. They've lost all hope. They feel helpless in their situation. They've run in to one too many brick walls. They've come to the end of their ropes and feel they've got nowhere else to go. Most of all, they feel that no one understands their situation. :-(

Helpless. Hopeless. Nowhere to go. No one to talk to. No one cares. Those are their thoughts. It hurts, the pain is too intense, they can't handle it anymore... They feel that their only answer is death... At this point, they don't care how those who they leave behind feel about what they're about to do...
