ok, so lets think about it.. the times the government has worked the BEST in the past 15 years has been when we have had a balance of power.. the Clinton years were good years for the nation, and that is undeniable even if you hate his ethics... and other than spending too much time focused on them.. the republican congress with a democratic president got a lot of things done.. there is a reason our forfathers designed this nation to run on 3 branches of government.. and it is time to return that balance.. the republicans shouldn't be fighting this change, they should be embracing it! they have the Judicial system for years to come now so the balance will be here for a long time and lets face it.. our forfathers were right by balancing the power.. and the current administration has proved that.. so why are there so many republicans resisting the inevitable change?

Because no one likes to lose, If they Republican's get 67 seats in the Senate they can do whatever they want too, but that is never going to happen, not now not ever, people like to be in control, but I agree with you for the most part, even though Clinton made a lot of foriegn policy mistakes we are paying for now.

I agree with your assesment.

When power is split, more seems to get done. The parties have to work together, or a 3rd party can emerge.

Clinton was a great President, and he got along fairly good with the Republican Congress. A lot got done.
