I bought a cell phone off of ebay and it is a tmobile phone but i have cingular how do i get rid of the tmobile info that is on it and get cingular info? can the cingular store do it? is it free? or does it cost money? if so, how much?

okay my sim card meaning my memory card thing? and do my services go onto my new phone? or do i have to set it up?

Here's whats going to happen...

You put your Cingular sim card into the T-Mobile phone, right? well it's not going to work like you think it is. First you have to pay to get that T-Mobile phone unlocked and to do that you have to go to some off the wall cell phone store that will do it for you.

Phones are locked on certain networks so the user can't change to a different network whenever they want to. If you do try to attempt putting the sim card in the T-Mobile phone then it will ask for a code which you do not have and it is hard to get unless you do take it to that phone store. Also, if you try entering any code more than I think 4 times then all you're going to do is burn up your sim card and you'll have to get a new one.


I'm not sure how much it will cost for the off the wall cell phone store to do it for you, you should call them and ask. Don't take it to a big named store (T-Mobile or Cingular), they won't do it.

It won't work. You have to have a Cingular phone that can accept a Cingular chip.

just take out your sim card and put it into that one. evrerything just transfers

call t-mobile they have the besr service.
