i depends on if she is on ssi or ssd you should contact you local office or call 1 800 772 1213 thats the national #. AS far as the comment on welfare ssi and ssdi are not welfare programs. And as far as getting rid of them hopefully you live to a ripe old age and never need it befor that ripe old age. A family member of mine is on it because he was injured beyond anything helping him and he will never be able to work again thank god there is ssi and ssdi or he would be on the street. you can also go to www.ssa.gov because i think every state is diffrent

She should contact her local office because it is determined on the location you live as far as how much it takes to support the individual.

I got SS for my youngest who is handicapped and when it started they told me that if I move out of the county registered for me being in then it will change as far as the amount I can earn without it being affected.

That is why are country is the way that it is. If yu are capable of earning a good dollar, don't steal money from the governement thats for when you need it. The government needs to get rid of the well fare system and also I don't think we should have social security either. Pitiful

If she's on social security disability, he can earn up to $32,000 before her social security is taxed, after that some or all of her social security is taxed. If she is retired, I don't think it matters.
