Yep.. eBay.

eBay will tell you exactly what people are willing to pay for a particular item. It could vary from day to day depending upon who's looking but overall it's pretty dang accurate.

If you don't have a user Id on eBay, go ahead and sign up for it.. it's free. Once you have an ID, search for your type of item to sell and look at the current auctions. While you can get some idea of what it could be worth, it won't be exact. Then use the 'Advanced Search' button and ask for 'Completed Items Only' (this is what you need the ID for). This search will tell you exactly what was paid for a particular item and give you some insight as to how to describe your item if you choose to sell it on eBay.

Hope this helps and good luck!

The complete set of Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan series in first edition, first printing. I sold the set for $13,000 not realizing that it was worth about 5 times as much and today would probably close to priceless. And all of those books were in excellent condition too. And that was in 1971.

Auction it on E-bay?? See how much people value it at. Or have it looked at by an antique dealer or something.
