Call the manufacturer, that is bullshit. Also, try another dealer.

I recently replaced the battery in my 2002 MBZ ML320 and then I saw that the radio said "Enter Code" and I was like "Great, there goes a couple hundred bucks". Then I realized that my whole radio had been replaced under warranty a year or so earlier and thought that maybe the radio code might be written on the repair invoice or something. So I frantically went through my documents, and sure enough, there it was. I'm assuming that you haven't had the radio replaced under warranty lately, but hopefully some dealership service records came with the car when you bought it. On my service invoice from the dealer, it had the code printed out from the computer on the top of the form with all of the other vehicle info like the VIN, make, model, license, etc. Good luck.

I believe you will have to go through the GM dealer, as GM themselves aren't going to release the code directly to you. The dealer will be collecting a "fee" for verifying that you are in fact the owner of the vehicle for said radio, and for looking up the code for you. It's a bummer, but that's the way it goes. Call several dealers and see what they say.

Try going to the GMC web page & see if there is a link that would fit the problem, if not check n see where the link is to 'contact them'. Send them an email & they should help you out. I had to get a list of trouble shooting codes online & went to a website that I highly recomend, but don't recall seeing that on it. If you don't get any place...type in.... anti-theft code for 99 malibu....in your search bar, Believe me, you will score a few hits, lol.

Take the identify with the Vin quantity to the broker, they can grant it to you. in some cases for a small value, like ten greenbacks or something different cases in addition they want a photo identity. Its a worry rather, even though it particularly is rather useful to take the unit out for its serial quantity, that's what Honda desires. i do no longer think of GM placed the code interior the glove field or on any sticky label, I used to have a older GM automobile and in no way observed this sicker or code.

call a dealer, ask for a service writer, pretend to be a local full service auto repair shop, and they will usually walk you through it for free right on the phone. just be in car with your cell phone or other cordless phone, and act like you've done it before.
