Skim through the headlines of any news site (ex: Yahoo! News, CNN, Times, etc) and see what catches your eye. Or search a topic and click "News" in the search bar as where you're searching. Good luck with your current events

For local events, get more involved in your community. For national events, if you get it there, try CNN on cable tv. They're one of the best stations for this type of coverage.

Stick to the newspaper. You can also try to get them online. All newspaper do. Go to Fox News, MSNBC, or your local TV stations websites.

news.bbc.co.uk is what most of my friends seem to rely on now, much higher news content than MSNBC and CNN. No stupid adverts either.
