I don't believe that we're gonna live forever, nor do I believe that we're reaching the end of our rope. Just think about how old this planet is, and even though humans are destroying the planet at an alarmingly fast rate, we still have a ways to go. What I think you keep noticing is the natural inclination of humans to fight. As the years go by we keep destroying ourselves in vain pursuits. But after all the smoke is cleared and the planet becomes uninhabitable, something, anything (even the smallest of life) will survive and the planet will keep turning and cranking out magnetic energy. We're not eternal or anything, but as long as this big magnet has water on it and keeps spinning something will survive. That's how it works. However the end may be upon the Roman empire that we live in. We've been burning all the bridges surrounding America, and soon the rains gonna come and wash away all the ashes. Death is the thing that will live forever, get over it.

It's been upon us since the days that Nero was throwing Christians to the lions, every end of century, every end of millenia, every self-proclaimed prophet worth his oats from Jim Jones to the dude in Waco, Texas had a date with destiny. And now the ol' Mayan calendar is about to run out in 2012...ooooh.
Give me a break.
Our end will come from the accidental launch of a Russian ICBM caused by the aging early warning system that thought NATO and the US were attacking... The first inkling that you'll know that the 'end of times' has arrived will be the effects of the EMP on your video game or TV.
If that doesn't get us, Apophis has a date with destiny in the year 2036 (or at least a high probability of an impact). A near miss in 2029 will confirm the 2036 hit.
But, then again, we're overdue for a super volcanoe to erupt in the Yellowstone Park area, maybe that should keep me up at nights???

You have to think positive about these things! Animals may be going extinct, but there's still many species left. Monkeys have evolved into humans (I'm not so sure about that, but it's possible!). Who's to say that we won't evolve into something more? Who's to say that we can't change the way the world is today? Then again, I'm scared of dying, but so what? It's just a part of life, and if you have to die to live. And each day comes a little more hope that we'll be something greater than we were yesterday.

Bless your heart, no wonder you are confused ! Number one we did not evolve ! It is appointed unto man once to die, after this the JUDGMENT. The Bible stated you shall know the truth and the Truth shall set you free. It is a biblical proven fact that signs we shall see before the end comes is exactly what we see happening right now. Things (life) has got to get worse before it gets better.Read The book of Life the Holy Bible it states in the end you shall have pestilences, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, children putting their parent to death, evil people shall wax worse and worse ect..when the Gospel is preached all over the world than shall the end come. The only ones who have PEACE and HOPE are the believers in the Messiah Jesus (Yashua) those will and are promised ETERNAL LIFE in the NEW HEAVENS and the NEW EARTH and God will give you a PEACE that passes all understanding. I hope that answers some of your questions. God has not given us the spirit of confusion..but of a SOUND Mind.
