I think my vote will be counted, at least in the tally of numbers, but since I'm already pretty sure that my candidate won't win, I don't know whether you'd say my vote actually "mattered" or not.

However, I think that voting for someone just because "he's more likely to win" when I don't agree with their platform is being hypocritical. I'd rather vote for the "underdog" and make a statement that "Yes, there ARE people out here who will vote outside the two-party system" in the hopes of encouraging stronger Independent candidates to run in the future.

I believe my vote will count today but will not count at the presidential elections but I will vote any way.
