i still feel that the GOP retains power but the Senate is 50-49 GOP (with that one Independant) and the House is 218-217 GOP (not really a mandate)

Does it really make any difference? Before the Reps got control of Congress and the Dems had it, everyone was saying, "Put the Reps in, they'll change it" now the same people are saying to put the Dems in, they'll change it. It goes back and forth, and always will. Until both parties forget their agenda and what is best for the party and do what is best for the American people, it won't get any better.

The Democrats will rule. The Republicans will spend two years crying about how mistreated GeorgeW. Bush is. The results will bring joy to all hard working Americans. The minimum wage will rise, healthcare will be addresses, and the war in Iraq just might be won.

I think the Dems will pull it off this year. Just because of all the media hype about republicans. I am not sure of what differences it will make because honestly... people are people, republicans or democrats, they are all corrupt!
