is the ipod really the best product to buy when it comes to carrying your digital tracks? or is there something better, let me know!

a lot of my friends have ipods, and they seem to break often and then the warranties don't cover the damages. some of them have learned to use the ipod with a broken screen, relying on counting artists or albums to get where they need. i own a toshiba gigabeat MEG-F40S. it's a bit more expensive, because it has a hard drive, but it holds about 10000 songs or...maybe 15000 pictures? i cant remember the number of pictures...anyway, it also has its own program, the gigabeat room, like ipod has itunes, but you can also use windows media player 10. one downside is that it is not compatible with apple computers, you need a PC, but i have no problem with that as i've been a PC user all my life. anyway, toshiba makes an amazing music player, and i love it. here's the link. you can check out different capacities and also some of toshiba's other lines of music players.

No the ipod isn't really the best thing. Your really just paying for the name. Theres plenty of good music players out there. Just try googling it. I have a scandisk mp3 player & it plays better then my friends ipod! It just depends on what you like & what you can afford Theres a link below to see different mp3 music players. Hope this helps.

I would think so, the only mp3 i own is a ipod nano. But iv'e seen dell mp3's and other things my friend said that the dell mp3's got a bad rating. The ipod does cost a lot of money but i think that ipods are the best buy.

no ipod is not the best player. get one that you can put right into yourUSB plug in they work reely good and you can get them up to a gig or 2 gigs of memory..look at radio shack.. the problem with ipod is that you have to buy i tunes but with the thing i have you just put any songs you download into it..

I think that the iPods are the best they have more space and the warranty is flexible. It is the best in my opinion
