Last time I checked, you can't collect disability and still work.
Also, pregnancy isn't a disability unless you are high risk, and chances are you won't be high risk until the third trimester.
Honestly I wouldn't take the easy way out unless your doctor suggests that it is the best for you and your baby. You need to bring in income now to help prepare for your baby--they'll be more expensive than you think.
YOU can't decide if you want to go on a pregnancy disability; only your doctor can decide that and give you proper paperwork.

I don't think you can legally collect disability if you can work. In some cases though, you can collect disability and have your part-time income deducted from disability payments. Depends on the company.
I collected short term disability once I went on maternity leave but this was insurance that I pay for and the payments stopped as soon as my doctor released me for regular duty.

No you cannot collect disability and work part time. If you are applying for disability you are saying that you cannot work.

I would think it would be like any other kind od disability payments. My friend is disabled and collects SSI, but she is able to work a certain number of hours. Talk to your doctor though. If they put you on disability it may harm your baby to work.
