We love who we love regardless of gender. So why does the media make such a big deal out of someone "coming out?"
This is a survey and not being asked to offend anyone.

The repression of modern society is based on the inhibitions of the Victorian Era, though it goes much farther back than that to the political and religious seats of power.

It shouldn't be such a big deal, but it is. Tolerance & understanding with compassion is something that seem to be given great lip service, but the actual truth is that anyone or anything different, is not tolerated with much more than words.

It is a sad state to be in, but this seems to be a trend started a couple thousand years ago, given a kick-start by Kings and Powers, and then launched into modern society with effective results.

Maybe someday we will all learn to live & love without judgement.

You can love whoever you want. When companies get the additional burden of insurance for a domestic partner they're gonna squawk. So it may be a matter of money to companies and they can raise such a ruckus about it that someone in the media usually listens quite intently to get a story and make a name for themselves. But it still won't change who you love. It may make it more difficult for you to make ends meet but that's what they want, the possibility of a break up. Hope I stayed on track enough for you. You rock ssirren.

i think it is because the people actually wanted it and whenever the runners such as the president and etc.. found that out they used it to get head and then finally people actually started to express what they thought which leads to the controversy today. personally i could care less who you sleep with at night because you are who you are. and i am not there so whats the big deal?

Its all within religion. Most christians believe that man and woman should be married. The second homosexuals wanted to be married it became a national thing.

Me....I'm christian, but could care less. Let them marry and discover the wonderful world of divorce and distribution of assetts.

Media--that's for people who seek attention--the "Media" has usually been invited--those that are "coming out" want media attention--just be sure and spell the name right!! lol

no doubt! who cares what celebrities do! i'd much rather hear about the paramedic who arrived just in time to save someone. Or the teenager who spoke up & therefore helped thwart a kidnapping ...
