Buy a Battery pack for it, it take 4x AA batteries and lasts up to 16Hrs +. Other than that return it to get fixed/ replaced. I took mine back and they couldn't fix it so they gave me a voucher to buy the latest version. Sorry if this doesn't help. Jp

I suggest going to support.apple.com, checking your guarantee and request for it to be fixed. The apple company will send you an empty box to put in your iPod then it is sent away and fixed. if they can't fix it it will be replaced with a new one. The problem could be your battery though. its probably best to just get your iPod all checked out.

it sounds like your battery might need to be replaced.. have you updated it to the latest spec from apple? as the latest software contains battery bug-fix...
try leaving it overnight charging on the home electricity....
