Be careful: It is an element, but pure oxygen is found as O2, which is a molecule (some then classify it as a compound!)

"Chad P' has the O as element and O2 a compound right on. Both are commonly referred to as oxygen although it is all ways found in nature as a compound (O2).

Heterogeneous and homogeneous are terms that refer to mixtures, thus are not applicable here.

Oxygen is a compound. It is the combination of other gases.Nitrogen and other noble gases.It's also an element,it's the eighth element and has 2 positive electrons.

Oxygen is an element. In it's most common form, it is a diatomic gas (O2). As such, it is homogeneous.

its an element, which i guess you could say is kind of a substance (a mixture is two or more elements mixed together)
