20 ft x 15 ft = 300 ft²

A = bh
A = 20 ft x 15 ft
A = 20 x 15
A = 300²
A = 300 ft²

A = Area
b = Base
h = Height

If it's a triangle then it's...

A = 1/2bh
A = 1/2(20ft)(15ft)
A = 1/2(300ft)
A = 150 ft²

You're not being clear enough in your question posing; you'll get at least two answers, depending on the shape of the figure you're asking about.

For a rectangular shape:
Base * Height = Area
(20 ft) x (15 ft) = 300 ft2

For a right triangular shape:
0.5 * Base * Height = Area
(0.5) * (20 ft) * (15 ft) = 150 ft2

if you're talking about a triangle: area = base x height / 2 (150 sq ft)

if you're talking about a rectangle: area = base x height (300 sq ft)

i'm pretty sure that it is

a(area)=b(base)*h(height)

so...

a=20*15

a=300 ft^2
