I've read a lot of times that if you really wish for something, it is very likely to happen - the power of thoughts

but I've learnt from my own experience that you can't "blackmail your destiny"

so what's true

The truth is that God is sovereign, yet He has given man, to some extent, free will.

That depends entirely on the nature of the wish. For instance, believing in yourself and your ability to reach a goal can often give you the confidence to make it happen. That sort of outcome is what's called the "power of positive thinking." A similar outcome in medicine involves a visualizing technique - say, goblins gobbling up cancer cells. I do believe that a posivie attitude can have a huge effect on what good things come to us in life.

However, all the positive vibes in the world will not make that cute guy in the mail room fall hopelessly in love with you. There are limits, after all!

If you are the type of person who is driven...fights for what they want, destiny is what you make it. If you wish something you want so badly, then obviously you would fight for it, and thus it is more likely to happen. Also if it's just a coincidental thing you've wished for and it occurs, you just noticed it came true because you thought about it. Other wishes that don't come true will be forgotten.

Balckmail never works nor does wishing for someting. Material things have to be worked and saved for

Wishing for a car with no job is impossibe to happen but you can wish for a used car ans someone in the family might feel sorry and give you one.

Well I change my mind you can wish for things but they must be old cause wishes want buy you new things

Its based on what you believe like i believe that if people have the power then they should learn to use it. And yes your find the truth through your own experiences not by others...=D

Personally, I think that there's no such thing as fate or destiny, just coincidence. You can believe in whatever you want. I believe that you control your life, and if you really want something, you have to work hard to get it.

It is important to keep the positive attitude going by having hope or else you'll be hopeless and that is very depressing.

None of these. Life is what you make of it. If you don't go to school, study hard in college, be a good person, you end up in Iraq.
